Who we are
BizTut.com (“we”, “us”) is operated by BizTut, biztut.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: admin@biztut.com.
What we collect and why
- Account registration: username, email address and password, so you can log in and access your account, resources and courses. Lawful basis: contract.
- Purchases: name, billing details and order history, processed through WooCommerce. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe, stored with Mailchimp. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.
- Contact form: your name, email and message, so we can reply. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Website analytics and security: IP address, device and usage data collected through Google Analytics (via Site Kit) and Jetpack. Lawful basis: consent for analytics cookies; legitimate interests for security.
- Affiliate links: when you click a link to a partner’s website, that partner or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from BizTut. We do not receive your personal details from them.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, run the shopping basket and, with your consent, measure site usage. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Who we share data with
The website is hosted by BizTut. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site: Stripe (payments), Mailchimp (email), Google (analytics) and Automattic/Jetpack (security). Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Registration details are kept for two years after your account is closed. Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, object to processing, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email admin@biztut.com to make a request; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
